Ashley Young's moving back to London
Villa ITK's sound pretty sure that Ashley Young will be sold off now that Downing is set to complete his £12 million from Boro.Even though the Villa winger looks to be heading for London, unfortunately, it looks as though he'll will be signing for Chelsea after their attempts to sign Ribéry were knocked back by Bayern Munich.
The figures being mooted are in the region of £30 to £38 million; which sounds just about right, taking into account the massive amounts being paid to clubs for players this close season.
The only good thing to come out of this is the fact that Downing won't be joining us!

Young can play in the hole, and is right footed so can play right mid easily. Milner is seen by villa and himself as a central attacking midfielder who can get forward and back due to his work rate. That leaves room for young on the right.
If you cannot see the signing of downing provides options and competition then your are blinded. He is not a like for like replacement. Unless chelsea make a 40mill bid. I can garuntee

Just because Downing's come in doesn't mean Young's leaving - it's called strength in depth.
A lot of you (both Spurs & Villa fans) sound an awful lot like West Ham fans.

Remember when Young came to the lane and corluka completely schooled him. He literally done nothing all game, thats becuase cuttin in on the right foot may work once or twice but a prem right back should have that sorted in no time.
Honestly downing would of offered us more balance. i'd rather throw lennon on the left and bentley on the right than waste money on young. It's highly unlikely that villa, without barry and a couple of trusty centre backs plus an out of form striker in agbonlahor, a rapidly ageing heskey and 2 left mids will struggle to keep up their current run of good prem finishes.
I expect villa to struggle ven getting into europe this season. then again i cant see spurs doing much better witho…

Ashley Young will not be leaving Aston Villa Football Club this transfer window. Developing well under the watchful eye of John Robertson, his partner and three children settled, a club that adores him, fans that adore him. A club that has provided high recognition for him, a world cup next summer. Would he risk and lose all that for a poxy little club in London? No is the answer I'm affraid, and neither would Carew.

Ashley Young is right footed player who a good prem full back will sort out - I have seen Ashley distroy better fullbacks than Corky or whatever his name is - another bit part player at the spuds who are night clubbing away in London drawing wages for nothing. Harry is doing nothing until he offloads the hangers on.
As for Ash not going anywhere unless top four and ridiculous price, the signing of Downing is a great move, anyone who actuallly goes to matches and seen Downing he has pace, his delivery is as good as Ash, good work rate and defends better, he could definaely play in Barrys position and with him and Ash side by side will cause problems for any side.

I wish we could sign Ashley Young, but it isn't going to happen. He's better than anyone at Spurs and would improve us alot, but he won't come here. We just need to face it, Villa are a better team than us at the moment.

Please be aware that despite the media hype of us breaking the top four last season, it was never on agenda, it was all about maintaining 6th. It should have been 5th but we blew it, we'll be back for another bash this season.
Good luck for next season Spurs, hope you achieve your expectations, I'm pretty sure you will be top ten. Its a tough little mini league in and around their this season.

I would love young to join us but in all fainess why would O'Neil do something as daft as sell him to a rival. I cannot understand why Villa would sell Ashley Young. I thought it was just a rumour but its getting more real now. Lots of mentioning by both Spurs and Villa ITK.
