Looks like Spurs don't fancy Veloso

Have I missed something? With all due respect to Bolton Wanderers, how on earth are they nearing the transfer of the Portuguese International tough-tackling midfielder, Miguel Veloso?

We apparently were in for him last summer, but nothing materialised. Veloso's club, Sporting Lisbon, are demanding €12 million. For those that have seen him play, I am sure that you'll agree that he's worth every penny, and exactly what we need at the moment.

Harry has said that we don't have any players that can tackle, but here's one that's available. It looks like Sporting are ready to cash in on the 22 year-old, and I just hope we haven't missed the boat on him.

Newcastle United are also showing an interest, but due to their financial restrictions at the moment, it looks as though they'll pull out of any deal to bring Veloso to the Premier League.

    Tottenham has a habit of ruining good players careers.

  3. I have seen him play well over a dozen times and I have never seen him have a good game.
    There is a reason why the big clubs of Europe haven't taken a punt on him yet and it isn'ty his relatively low asking price that is the problem...he is nowhere near as good as Football Manager fans would have you think!
    ANother Internet Legend to join the likes of Adu, Kompany and Vanden Borre...
  4. seems like u are one of the few spurs fans who talks sense. THIS IS THE TYPE OF PLAYER WE NEED. He can work with Palacios in centre midfield. As a pairing, they will have the required energy to play in front of the centre backs, to sure up a weak defence(i dont know why we are not buying a centre back or selling Ledley "i cant play saturdays" King) and act as a spring for counter attacks with Veloso's passing and attacking ability. Modric would play behind the striker (now Defoe is apparently injured) bringing the wingers into play.

  6. Bolton fan here. I'm not sure we are nearing the signing of Veloso. Most of the noises I'm hearing are that he doesn't fancy it
