Gus in line for the Blackburn job

Former Spurs player and assistant manager, Gus Poyet, is in line for the Blackburn job after the club sacked Paul Ince earlier today.

When asked if he would be interested in the post, Gus responded accordingly;

"The job does interest me and we'll have to see how things turn out in the coming weeks".

The usual suspects such as Sam Allardyce, Alan Curbishley and Peter Reid have all made their interests known, although sources close to the Lancashire club have stated that ex-Spurs player and assistant Poyet, along with Tugay Kerimoğlu are ahead in race.

How the above two will work together is still uncertain at this point. What we find remarkable is that the Blackburn board would consider yet another inexperienced manager?

Ince did managed Macclesfield Town and M.K. Dons, and did well for both those clubs. Unfortunately, his prior success meant nothing at Blackburn. Maybe it was because both the Macclesfield and M.K. Dons squads' looked up to Ince?

Maybe the aura surrounding his playing days didn't appeal as much to the millionaires that wear the blue & white jersey?

What is certain at this point is that the Blackburn fans won't be too happy to see another inexperienced man in the job.
