Ramos, Comolli, Alvarez & Poyet OUT: Redknapp IN!!

In a shock turn of events, Daniel Levy published an announcement on the official Tottenham Hotspur website just before midnight stating that Sporting Director, Damien Comolli, Head Coach, Juande Ramos, and First Team Coaches, Marcos Alvarez & Gus Poyet had left the club with immediate effect.

Clive Allen & Alex Inglethorpe will be taking charge of todays home game against Bolton, under the watchful eye of former Portsmouth boss, Harry Redknapp.

It looks like Redknapp has accepted the job to manage Spurs, after he himself stated that the two clubs had reached an agreement and that a compensation package for the latest F.A. Cup winning manager had been thrashed out.

Some media outlets are questioning if Daniel Levy will fill the Sporting Director void left by Comolli.

The hiring of Redknapp confirms that Tottenham Hotspur will have to make do without a Sporting Director until the end of Redknapp's tenure.

Harry is the boss. He accepts no meddling whatsoever. When former Chelsea manager, Grant, was hoisted in at Portsmouth as the clubs Technical Director, Harry threatened to quit the club.

This is a brave move by the Spurs chairman, especially in a time when brave moves needed to be made.

Signing Redknapp will prove a master stroke as Harry is the kind of manager that is loved by the players. What the Spurs players need right now, is a manager that will put an arm around them and give them some much needed encouragement.

Players like Bentley & Woodgate will take to Harry immediately. The fact that English is his first language will also help the situation Tottenham find themselves in, currently 4 points adrift at the foot of the Premier League table.

Fans can fully expect Tottenham's season to turnaround now that Harry Redknapp has been installed at the Lane.

Once results show that they are improving, expect another bout of "good news" with the announcement of a New White Hart Lane Stadium!

The only puzzling equation in all of this is the termination of Comolli, Ramos, Poyet & Alvarez? Were they paid their compensation? If so, the amount paid to the above four would seriously hamper our January transfer budget, wouldn't it?

Leave your comments on what you think about the termination of Ramos, Comolli & co and the appointment of Harry Redknapp.
