New Signings
Depending on which newspapers, Spurs sites, forums, and/or blogs you read, it looks as though Football Manager is back on at The Lane.
With reports linking us to Roman Pavlyuchenko, Andrei Arshavin, Miguel Veloso, Vedran Corluka, and Radamel Falcao, the transfer merry-go-round is certainly in full swing!
I think we can take it as fact that Pavlyuchenko will soon be a Spurs player; taking into consideration his Visa acceptance by the DoE (Department of Employment), London will have two Russian Roman's.
With Zenith buying a direct replacement for Arshavin, it looks as though Levy has got his wish in signing a player for an amount that he sees as amicable.
Some blogs and the BBC's site have mentioned that we are close to signing Sporting's Portuguese ball-winning midfielder, Miguel Veloso.
Signing a player like Veloso must be a dream for us fans that feel it would be in the clubs' best interests to strengthen our ranks with defensive midfielders, rather than attacking midfielders.
If all the above turn of events do take place though, who am I to argue?
City's Corluka looks to be signing to. He's a good player, but just like Pavlyuchenko, if he does sign, he'll be cup-tied from our UEFA Cup campaign.
Finally, we come to Falcao. I personally know nothing about this player apart from that he's highly aggressive and imitates runway attendants (sounds like a South American version of Robbie Keane to me).
Knowing Spurs like we do, we'll probably not sign any of the above mentioned players, instead, bringing in players that absolutely no one had a clue the club were tracking.
But I suppose that's why we love our Spurs so much.
COYS!!!

Spend some of the 16 odd million that Arshavin will cost on a player like Marcos Senna of Villarreal.
He may be 32, but he's exactly what our midfield is lacking.
Coupled with the signing of Veloso, our midfield would be formidable.
