BBC claim that Liverpool are definitely in for Keane

This article appeared a few hours ago on the BBC website.

It basically states that Rafa Benitez is definitely in for Robbie Keane, although the club (Liverpool) don't have any funds to play with, and so, have offered Peter Crouch as part of the deal.

I know that most of us already know that, but what I did find interesting in Phil McNulty's article, was that Peter Crouch wouldn't really welcome a return to the Lane. Instead, he wants to pair up with Harry Redknapp at Pompey.

The article also states that Keane has not spoken to the club about wanting to join Liverpool. That will also put a lot of us to rest.

"The deal, if any, is a long way off from happening", commented Phil McNulty on BBC's FiveLive.

  8. Apparantly some bloke found a burger that Robbie Keane had eaten.On closer examination of the teeth marks left in said burger there was a faint pattern spelling Liverpool. On close examination on the teeth marks in the bun itself it spelt out the words, only faintly, the word Bollocks just like all these stories!!!
  9. The bbc is wrong no fact here.... he is also contracted to spurs till 2012 not 2010 are 'reported' it's ppl trying to unsettle berba and keane, think berba likes to partner with keane they both have an understanding so if berba thought keane was off then.... ?
  10. I think its funny that whenever a decent player is linked with a move away from a club, all its fans say HE IS GOING NOWHERE. Why is Keane going nowhere? Would you rather play for a team in the bottom half of the prem or one who finish in the top 4 every season and have played in 2 champions league finals in the last 4 years? I admit, Torres could move to Chelsea as they are a better side. Its all possible. Saying a player is going nowhere just because you dont want him to means zilch.
  11. I heard it was all part of a player exchange. Apparently it is true, Liverpool are willing to include Gerrard, Carragher, Mascherano and Torres as part of the deal. I also heard that Crouch could be part of the deal but I doubt that he would want to warm the subs bench at Spurs for a second time in his career!
  12. 10-hours after the event you 'report' the BBC's 1pm posting based on a newspaper's already defunct factually inaccurate speculative article. What's the point? Poshspur, you've always seemed nice a nice bloke when I've read your postings on other sites (Harry Hotspur, etc), but this/your site seems like a complete and utter waste of all concerned's time; Any debate has come and gone.
