Spurs Agree Fee For Gomes

Tottenham Hotspur have announced that they have reached an agreement with PSV's world-class Brazilian keeper, Gomes.

The transfer fee, reported to be around the £8 million mark, should go through by the weekend.

The move is subject to a medical and agreeing personal terms over the move. Gaining a work-permit shouldn't be a problem either.

This surely spells the end of Paul Robinson's career at the Lane.

It's been reported that Spurs have begrudgingly accepted Aston Villa's £3.2 million bid for England's former number one.

Tottenham wanted nearer the £5 million mark, but Villa wouldn't budge on their fee.

If Robbo does leave, we wish him the best of luck.
