Kaboul in talks with Portsmouth and Middlesbrough

Younes Kaboul has himself stated this morning that he is looking to move on this summer. His agent, Rudy Raba, has also announced in French newspaper, L'Equipe, that his client and close friend, Younes Kaboul is in talks with both Portsmouth and Middlesbrough, although no transfer fee was mentioned.

Kaboul has also taken another shot at Tottenham Hotspur manager, Juande Ramos, by claiming that "he [Ramos] never talks to the players, not ever."

When asked to further discuss the matter, Kaboul went on to comment;

"When I asked why I was not even in the squad for the Anderlecht game, he just turned away and refused to speak to me. He does not respect the players, he does not respect me. This is not the way a team should be managed".

Reports circulated a while back that Juventus were keeping tabs on Kaboul. It seems as though they have reignited their interest with some sources close to the most successful team in Italian history stating that a bid for the French defender is imminent.

What we can recoup from his transfer is another story though. I am not entirely convinced that we paid Auxerre the £8.2 million that was reported at the time of his transfer to us. We've read that it was closer to £4.5 million, with another £2.5 million being added on with appearances. Whilst other national papers have said that we paid £5 million with an additional £3 million to be added on as incentives.

If we can at least get £3 million back on our investment, I think both the club, the fans and Kaboul will be happy.
