Kaboul may be the last signing

As was exclusively reported in a previous THBN article, Tottenham Hotspur are about to sign Younes Kaboul.

The two clubs have now agreed to a transfer fee for the France under-21 International. The fee will remain "undisclosed", but is believed to be in the region of £6 million.

The same source that reported the deal to THBN has informed us that Martin Jol will not be spending any more money in the transfer market until the last two weeks of the transfer window (approximately 15th August 2007 - 31st August 2007).

We hope to bring you more news shortly.

  4. How do you know about no more money being spent until last two weeks of the window? Yes I agree a lot of activity happens then, but as for you knowing I believe its another guess. From what is fast becoming a joke website that often states the obvious as a massive headline.

  7. Exclusive means no one else has done it - you may (I've not checked COYS/ FTL/SC dates on this) have got there first, but no way exclusively.

    Also, the guy asked what was so special about the last two weeks. He means 'of the transfere window' - like you put in the article he is replying to - and you managed to take it wrong. This is my first visit to the blog and your credibility is not doing too well here.

Also as soon as our intrest in Kaboul was noted, it must have been hard to periodically post new storie on how he is close to signing. He was close to signiong over 2 weeks ago apparently. My idea of 'cloe' is 1-2 days, 3 maximum! This site is rapidly diminishing into a farce.
  11. I cannot believe that. Managers want to be able to work with new players in pre-season and I would hope we buy who ever we want prior to that. The season in Spain just ended and that could affect quite a few things. eg Reyes going to Atletico Madrid could mean Petrov meaning etc etc. I still expect a left winger and a forward with Mido perhaps on the way out

    Kaboul will sign now that he has returned from his holiday and now that the full details of the "fee" have been agreed.

    As for no other signings until the last 2 weeks of August - can we agree that when it is proven that you are WRONG again that you will stop posting such garbage?

    Kaboul and 2 other signings WILL be wrapped up as soon as the legalities are taken care of - one of those signings WILL be Darren Bent.

    There are also negotiations going on with regards to players leaving but they are all fringe squad players and NO stars will be leaving and NONE have asked to leave.

    This information is completely kosher and is not speculative or meant to cause sensation or is trying to create a new web site based on bullshit. I do NOT know who the other signing will be so it is pointless to speculate but Kaboul and Bent WILL be signing and they will ALL sign long before the end of August.

  26. I always thought Pekhart was a target -man type player, he's very tall I believe. Halfredsson can play there, and has done for the national team. Routledge and Ziegler too if needed. Plus with Bale bombing down we could even stick with Steed out on the left and let Bale go outside. Taraabt looks excellent aswell, but probably not a winger. I hope we get Petrov or Drenthe though

    I've no idea what your "sources" are, but strikes me you don't really need any, just take a peek around those other sites and then post it here claiming it as your own.

    This post would also be a bit more convincing if main-stream news sources hadn't been busy quoting the Auxerre chairman today.

    Maybe you are ITK, but so far you've posted nothing that I couldn't have myself. Except for the bit about not signing anything to late August, which is plain daft; it's simply not the kind of thing any DoF would say because as we all know the situation's constantly changing during the Transfer Window.

  31. It always seems to be that as soon as a player is connected to spurs everyone wants him at the club straight away. Comments about having to get Kaboul, Drenthe and others are always posted. Until a month ago I had no idea who Kaboul was...still not sure. I have never heard about Drenthe until the under 21 championships started but he now appears an important signing..although he looks excellent

Defoe will go...he's a very good striker but who can he combine well with up front...not with Keane, not brilliantly with Berby.It's also the reason why he rarely starts for England, he's a bit of a maverick. Possibly Bent will fit in well with Robbie and Berby. If Bent has been promised a 1st team place could it be that Keane will drop back slightly and be our creative,attacking midfield brain. To me that would be fantastic!

Firstly we will be more dangerous from the left and secondly we will, as a result of Lennon being permanently in his best position, be more dangrous on the right. How about Malbranque replacing Jenas as our central midfield attacking dynamo. He has a great urgency about him.

(doesnt mean there is any truth to the story though) Just sounds like a guess that spurs are going to do what they usualy do and sign people late.
