Spurs In For The Sulker?
By ManicSpur
For THBN
SkySports have claimed that Spurs along with Newcastle are in for Mr. Sulk Nicolas Anelka.
SkySports have come up with a fair bit of rubbish recently, and I am sure that this story will be put on there rubbish pile also.
Why would Spurs want an ex-Arsenal player? And at a reported value of £13 million, I am sure that we can spend our money on wiser acquisitions?
Most of us moan about Fredi Kanoute, saying that he sulks and is lazy. God knows what we would do to Anelka if he were to join the club and not produce the goods.
Anyway, what am I saying?! This rumour is exactly that....a rumour.
I hope he ends up at Newcastle. They get rid of Bellamy for being a disruptive influence and then they go in for another disruptive player.
Greame Souness is the man...ha!

My third wish is that Jol/Levy forks up the cash for the young WEsley Sniper - and/or Andy Van Der Meyde(?) .... Cheers from a die hard Spurs fan in Norway
-For Spurs I hope.......
( I'm sorry for my spelling of his name but I thought his name was Wesley Snipers - or something like that )
Cheers from Norway - again :-))
I’m going to state it plain and simple: Anelka would pick Newcastle.
He also wrote isht about them being in a different category.
I say put us in any category just keep Anelka away. He's too well traveled, and has never really reproduced the for he had at the arse.
he does seem a very good player.
Why not try Reid in central midfield pairing with someone like Tainio.
I think this is going to be the beginning of a bubble. This Spurs team can beat anyone.
Anyway, still a good result especially as the young wingers came in and did well!

How can you say "if we were really thinking of making any big changes to the squad, they would have done it by now. surely they would have taken any new players to korea?"
Firstly, they would have PREFFERED TO HAVE IT IN PLACE BY NOW, BUT IF YOU ARE STRUGGLING TO SIGN BIG NAMES YOU HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL YOU FIND ONE THAT WILL PLAY FOR YOU! We're not Chelsea or Man U, we can't expect to sign a big player, just because we need one!
Secondly, same point really I spose... They would have come on the trip, if we'd have signed them!
Souness makes me laugh!!
"I'm clearing out all the trouble makers" so, true to his word, off goes Bellamy and Robert!! Happy Newcastle fans
Then, there is mutterings of him …
"Sevilla have confirmed Tottenham Hotspur have entered the race to sign Brazilian striker Julio Baptista by tabling a £14million bid.
The 23-year-old is also a target for Arsenal and Barcelona, but Sevilla have revealed that Spurs' bid has put them in pole position to clinch his signature."
I would quite literally piss my pants if he joined us instead of those pircks down the road in the Cranberry or Redcurrant or fucking horrid red shirts!
Sevilla have confirmed Tottenham Hotspur have entered the race to sign Brazilian striker Julio Baptista by tabling a £14million bid.
The 23-year-old is also a target for Arsenal and Barcelona, but Sevilla have revealed that Spurs' bid has put them in pole position to clinch his signature.
JULIO BAPTISTA "The most important offer that we have received is that of Tottenham, of more than 20million euros," read a statement on the club's official website.
Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido is still to decide on whether to accept the offer for Baptista, who still has three years left to run on his contract.
The Brazilian has scored 38 Primera Liga goals since joining Sevilla from Sao Paulo two years ago and was a member of his country's Confederations Cup winning squad.
Tottenham's move is sure to raise question marks about the futures of Robbie Keane and Fredi Kanoute, who have both been linked with moves away from White Hart Lane in recent weeks.
I'd love to see baptista and defoe up top next season!
If we were to sign him for the sort of money thats being quoted it would be to start!
Woudln't suprise me if those Blue scumbags came in for him just so no-one else could sign him!!
Don't get your hopes up just yet!!
Fuck, I hope I'm wrong!
We need to get CL first, and i think we've got a chance with are new wingers. I predict Routledge being the signing of the season.
Shame he's a dwarf, I hate fucking dwarfs
He is the answer to the attacking, creative midfielder turned big bull headed striker that we need.Stuff it up the shit coloured maroon shirt fuckpigs down the road.
Fucking dwarfs
Keano scored 2 today but he still hasnt signed his contract extension. So if we have to sell then we have to sell him.
I thought we can also have Baptista (if we do get him, most unlikely though) play as the attacking pivot in a diamond midfield.
c'mon spurs, please sign the beast!
i think i've just cum
But at least they made a genuin effort to sign someone of real class.
1. if we do get him, he'd be massive for us.
But in any case the bid will:
2. restore the fans' faith to the board
3. hurt the goons in having to pay much higher than they'd hope for
baptista yes. guti yes,and he can play any role through the centre of midfield. even been played upfront over the years. and id love to see saviola join too. the whole cost would be about 25 mill tops. then get rid of davis, brown, keane, kanoute, paramot and davenport. must make 14 mill there plus the 5 mill already sold off. then the chelski money. i think thats very good buisness and we'd of bought real world class first team players, which is now what we need. problem being i thought k & k played very well yesturday. they will prob come back to haunt us.
