Spurs In For The Sulker?

SkySports have claimed that Spurs along with Newcastle are in for Mr. Sulk Nicolas Anelka.

SkySports have come up with a fair bit of rubbish recently, and I am sure that this story will be put on there rubbish pile also.

Why would Spurs want an ex-Arsenal player? And at a reported value of £13 million, I am sure that we can spend our money on wiser acquisitions?

Most of us moan about Fredi Kanoute, saying that he sulks and is lazy. God knows what we would do to Anelka if he were to join the club and not produce the goods.

Anyway, what am I saying?! This rumour is exactly that....a rumour.

I hope he ends up at Newcastle. They get rid of Bellamy for being a disruptive influence and then they go in for another disruptive player.

  10. Great player but his head went west ages ago! Watched a bit of Spurs v Sundown and was impressed with Lennon & young Wayne. I think Reidy might get splinters in his fat arse as these two will end up as our starting wingers. Also Davenport looked rubbish & we def. need a centre mid (nothing new there then) also a CF to put pressure on the others - oh for The Beast! can't see it though we'll probably end up with some doofus!!!!

    he does seem a very good player.

    Why not try Reid in central midfield pairing with someone like Tainio.

    Firstly, they would have PREFFERED TO HAVE IT IN PLACE BY NOW, BUT IF YOU ARE STRUGGLING TO SIGN BIG NAMES YOU HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL YOU FIND ONE THAT WILL PLAY FOR YOU! We're not Chelsea or Man U, we can't expect to sign a big player, just because we need one!

    Secondly, same point really I spose... They would have come on the trip, if we'd have signed them!

  27. don't know about looks likely - not even been confirmed by spurs. Also not accepted..... they probably want more, the only reason I would think they would go public with it, without saying whether or not it had been accepted, was purely to get scum and scummer to up their offer, if it is fabricated, then Spurs would be the ideal team for Sevilla to claim had made the bid, in order for Arsenal to up theirs!

  32. Baptista actually likes us. But a major doubt for him to come here is the lack of CL. Even the Guardian reported our 14m bid. So how important is a Spanish passport to him now? Maybe we can buy him an Italian one.. like Veron et al seemed to easily get.

    Keano scored 2 today but he still hasnt signed his contract extension. So if we have to sell then we have to sell him.

  37. the beast can play that midfield role we are crying out for, he started as a defensive midfielder for sevilla anyway, but his natural gift of finishing and awesome power in the air made him into a striker. he knows he will start every game he's fit for spurs be it up front or midfield, this guy has it all, strength, power, finishing, ability in the air, crunching tackles, shame vieira aint here so he can get a broken leg!
