Lua-Lua?? You're Having A Laugh!

Who comes up with these stories?

This is what has been reported by a few sites:

"Tottenham have been linked with a move for Portsmouth's Congo international striker Lomana Lua-Lua.

"The 24-year-old forward has been targeted by Spurs manager Martin Jol to replace Republic of Ireland striker Robbie Keane, who is top of Newcastle's hit-list.”

For goodness sake! We are a club moving in the right direction. Everyone at the club as well as all the fans know this, but it looks as though the sad idiots who came up with this and all the other amazing rubbish don’t.

We already have Keane who does his crazy goal celebration. We don’t need another pathetic goal celebrationery player on our books.

Some people in high enough places say that Lua-Lua is an extremely fast player. Great! I’m also fast; does that mean I can sign for Spurs?

I can’t wait until I am able to publish that Keane or Kanoute (or both –please God) have left. We’ll then start getting some proper rumours doing the rounds.

  2. Lua Lua wouldn't be all that bad you know, he's a good little player. Pacy, good finisher - young. I think he will be a big player next year wherever he is but i wouldn't mind him at White Hart Lane.

    The only reason we should contemplate selling Keane is because he only has one year left on his contract & to lose him on a free would be a disaster, so yeah maybe cash in now but he is still a good player.

    Fredi can go - lazy, inconsistent, poor attitude, & well suited to the championship.

    selling kanoute and keane and mendes for about 10 to 15 million.
    and sign Downing,Jenas,Vieri,johnson

  9. I have to say that i think that Lua-Lua is more up for it than either Keane or kanoute...

    Robbie is a marvel although never scores enough goals (which essentially is his job!). He's got pretty overweight after his injury and has pretty much ridden along at every club, happy enough to be earning what he is. He just
    doesnt seem to have that bite, same as kanoute...

    Some of the tricks Lua-Lua did last season were definitely worthy of the lane, maybe doesnt score enough...

    Venegoor is probably our best bet at the moment to play a big yet skilful man with Defoe, but others such as Tevez or Vieri would be interesting...

    Robbie Keane, who has the determination but sadly not the quality, which is why he is often found running around aimlessly with the ball! like....

    Lua Lua - who just isnt good enough for anything other than a bit role at an ambitious club like spurs!!!

    Get rid of them all and bring in some real quality i say.

  21. Kanoute is absolutely shockin', we shd get rid of him 4 starters!! Keane is a gr8 player, he had his best season 4 spurs last season scoring his most goals 4 us. Lua Lua would replace him however with his acrobatics, he is also well pacey, and just like Keane in some ways...remember he came from Newcastle, they aint bad, look wot happened 2 them when he left....below mid-table, wot does that tell ya, eh?!

    Jol must be laughing his generously proportioned chin off hearing rumours of Lua Lua and Harewood gracing the lane. Kanoute could be sensational, but doesn't give a monkeys. Look when he scores. He tries to look indifferent. W*#nker. Keano is sublime, but the lad wants to go else he'd have signed. Can't handle not being outright number one - will never make it at a really big club as a result. Go to Newcastle or Celtic instead.

Instead of just one or two games and blagging to your mates that you're a staunch yid and you go all the time ?? Defoe & Vieri up front and scoring 20 each, Downing & Routledge out wide & taking the piss, Carrick & Brown winning the ball & playing out wide quick, Kelly, King, Downing, Edman - kIck the crap out of the opposition cunts without giving away stupid penalties and pass to a white shirt with pace, Robbo = England's number 1. I have a dream!!!!! (Just watched Fanzone replay of DP's Spurs v Man City 3-4 against 10 players fiasco and realised how far we have already come with MJ). From above = 2 players we don'tyet have i.e. Vieri + Downing = 15 miliion = Arnesan + Keene + Kanoute

  34. Fredi should be shown the door at the lane because he doesnt care for our club, him going away mid-season with mali last year proves that. Keane is a top forward and should be convinced to stay at the lane, but if he really wants to go then we certainly dont want to replace him with either Lua-Lua or Johnson. Neither of these players are any good. With 20 million to spend we should be looking at trimming the excess of the squad like Atouba and Paramot whilst bringing in new faces not selling our best performers of last season

  39. I work at the lane in an administration capacity and, rumour has it, that the reason Keane wants to go is that Martin Jol has discovered that Keane is homosexual and is uneasy with the fact. Apparently there has been some dressing room tension as most of the squad are shocked at the recent revelation and are finding it hard to play with Keano.

  42. whilst we all love goal scorers down the lane, (greaves, allen, klinsmann, defoe) surely what we are crying out for is a world class central midfield player to go alongside Carrick.
    JJ from Newcastle is probably our only realistic hope, (money and contracts considered)but in my view, great sides have a dominant play in middle of midfield, who is not only gifted in playing the ball but also leds the team and wins tackles as well, Carrick does 2/3 but would question his leading the team.

    Keane IS a class player and scores some blinders BUT he's greedy and cannot score a simple Tap In.

  44. You guys gotta realize u cant have Small and small upfront. I.e Defoe and Keane upfront. everyone knows you need to have a tall strong target striker alongside a small pacy striker. this is why many ppl think Kanoute is better than Keane, Defoe and Kanoute are used together more because the pair work better. But this set - up does excite me :))

  45. Changing the subject from strikers to midfielders for a minute.. Carrick should start yes, but Brown ?!?! when you have the choice of either Sean Davis or Pedro Mendes. That can't be right. Appreciate Brownie has done a great job when called upon, but surely he's not 1st choice in terms of effectiveness.

  47. granted we had a good season last year! but we are still building a great side at the moment. we have the foundations in players like defoe,king, carrick and robbo, but they are stiull young and not reaching their peak yet. we have signed more quality young guns recently; dawson, routledge and lennon and the future bodes very well for it. MJ is doing a great job. i would prefer us to continue or interest in jenas and downing, instead of being shafted for silly money by the likes of vieri or figo.we should be looking fowards not backwards. we have soo many starlets give them a chance not fat, overpaid, bigheaded , over the hill has-beens!try and keep keano! not convinced by peno taker johnson! a good bet would be someone like Rasiak from Derby; tall, good in air, fast and bangs them in!!
  48. Micheal Brown is the only player who will run EVERY inch of the pitch EVERY game garanteed. hes by far the most hard working player we have and surely that means he deserves a starting role. also he has a great shot on him :).
  49. I'm disapointed at how highly Spurs supporters rate us! Don't get Lua Lua, get someone amazing up front.... We haven't been in Europe for so long, apart from 1 year getting knocked out by Kaiserslauten, I'd be surprised if any top players remember who Spurs are, Look Lua Lua is a good forward who can create his own goalsthat would be perfect alongside Defoe. All we need at the moment is another striker who can score 15 goals-20 goals, we've got defoe who should score at least 15, with someone else scoring 15-20 we should make the uefa cup, then we can start thinking about getting top strikers, It has to be gradual, it's the only way to get to Europe and stay there year in year out! watch for the fall Everton this year!!

We need good strikers, Robbie Keane has had his chance, he failed, Kanoute is more committed to Mali than us and Defoe needs to be more consistent. We need a player like Lua Lua, who is unpredictable. He can score and create Goals. That boy is Dangerous to play against defenders. But I dont think he would sign for a team like Spurs.
