He's Gone!

For THBN
Heart rendering defender Thimothee Atouba, will (as predicted by THBN well over a month ago) sign for German team Hamburg, subject to the player finalising personal terms.
Good riddance!
And some of you said that we should play him up-front! I hope you were joking.
With Atouba's leaving, we have Erik Edman and Reto Ziegler that can cover at left-back. Is there any need for us to sign another left-back?
I still think that Jol will shelve out a few more players. Who would you like to see go?
I personally feel Brown will be sold, as well as Pamarot. Brown is a very hard working player, but I feel that with Mendes, Tainio, Davis, Carrick and possibly Huddlestone in midfield, Brown's place in the team has come under threat.
Pamarot was a Santini signing and seems to play better at centre-half rather than his more traditional role of right-back. The guy is recovering from a serious injury at the moment, so I am not too sure how the club would get rid of him (if they are planning to that is).
He signed from Nice for £1.7 million last season. That figure is too large of an amount to write-off just after 12 months, so it waits to be seen what will happen.
With everyone in the world of Tottenham realising that an attacking midfielder is needed, who would you buy? And if we bought another central midfielder, who do you think would be sold?
From day one, I have said that we should have gone in for the mighty Figo, and I'm sticking to it!
Any thoughts on new players, or players which you would like to see gone?
Please be realistic.

sell defoe bring in saha and richardson if saha fails sell him but rischardson is going to be a star .
i would also like sol cambell back at the lane is taht a swear word:0
If all else fails I propose we bring the Infamous and illustrious Darren Anderton back into the fore, now pying his trade somewhere in the midlands, I forget.
I couldn't beleive that the Beckenbauer of the Balkans (Bunje)is still with us - how many years did Hoddle give him on his contract? Don't get me wrong - it's good to have squad members like that (he is our second oldest player I think) but he won't get many starts with the talent thats ahead of him.
Rosicky & Figo. I really can't think of any others.
After watching Tainio's goals, I must admit that he looked like a link player.
Hope that materialises
Would like to see bridge come in but edman and ziegler are both good enough.
And i think that carrick and tainio will be a great midfield partnership
Furthermore, I wonder what Andy Sinton and Ruel Fox are up to these days....
If we are to sign another player, then that player needs to be special.
Malbranque offers us nothing.
Joe Cole would be an amazing signing. I just can't see it happening, can you?
Ruel Fox is still talking about the Arsenal game he played well in.
We keep trying to tell him that Bruce Rioch was incharge at the time, but he's having none of it!
I wonder what Chris Armstrong is doing? He couldn't of retired could he? He's still fairly young.
Maybe we'll sign him as we haven't been strongly linked with him yet.
Signing many more players would do more harm then good! Pre-season is underway and we don't want to many!
What the fuck are they playing at????
We have the cash, the arnesen payoff, the sale of davies, whatever we had in the kitty for the summer and we can get more if we sell patchy freddy kanoute and moody robbie keane, FOR FUCKS SAKE LEVY AND JOL, BUY BUY BUY OR I'LL BLOW MY BRAINS OUT NOW!!!!!!
I noticed that as a left back Atouba had a tendency to not look round at the winger on the other side, and was always too far away from him - bread and butter stuff!!
As a winger, he was just a stopper. He had some fancy flicks to confuse his opposite number, but that just not enough!! He was also not some one who could burst up the wing and either cross it in or score goals - (like Ginola could with ease). Atouba only did it once against Newcastle, which is unacceptable in my view.
I conclude that the club tried to educate him about these problems, but he just seemed not to take the advice in. Therefore, not top six material, and its good business to sell him to Hamburg (an average club in Germany - Says it all don’t you think?)
Any Ideas how much money were selling him for?
with Ziegler Reid Lennon and Routledge I think we have plenty of young options but I would still maybe like someone more experienced come in, after all isnt their average age 21/22, youth is all well and good but it does help if you have a sheringham or Zola as an experienced head in your team. Naybet is ok buthe is not a premiership player, he has …
Bridge aint no better than Edman.
That was fucking helpful.
Pete Za
The world and his wife have been linked with us.
Smart Arse
Whos he gonna hit?
Defoe
Keane
Kanoute will probably be standing next to him.
Leave him at Bolton Wandering Minds
ARRRRRGGGHHHH!!!!!!
BUY SOME SOME TOP CLASS FUCKING PLAYERS OR THE PUPY GETS IT!!!!
DL
Oh Dear Oh Dear
Paul Scholes at the Lane.
Hohohohoho Hahahaha
Hmmmmmm
Yeah Right....
But it aint gonna happen.
I do like Pedro Mendes, though. I hope he comes good this season.Huge skill, good vision,a passer, can shoot, good with a dead ball, can even tackle. Champions League winner and all that.
Not the ideal partner for Carrick, though.
If only Newcascum would sell J.J.
Yeah, I do have plenty of opinions about the team (as a season ticket holder) but no one is really interested in what other fans think so just thought I'd take the opportunity to be unnecessarily rude instead.
Kieran Richardson. Hes cak. ask any Man U fan that knows their footy. So many of u r saying sign him but IF United were going to let him go for £3M then he obviously aint good enough 4 us. 1 good game for England. Id look good playin 4 West Brom. If were talking wingers then why not be bold & make a bid 4 SWP? I saw that Douala@ Sportin Lisbon last season and he looked quite impressive. Were linked with him 2day as well...
Who the hell mentioned JUDAS!!!! NO F'in way all three are as good if not better than him already!
One answer could be to play 3 Centre backs Zeigler & Kelly both have plenty of energy as wing backs we have plenty of cover at the back Defendi, Ifil Edman and Saltieri If we stick to 4 4 2.
I also we should sell two out of Brown, mendes and Davis (5 million for the pair) Again plenty of cover the versatile Huddlestone, Tianio, halfredson, Reid, Routledge, Lennon and Marney. bungy should be sold/released, Let Jackson go (500,000 - 1 Million, and for god sake MJ make Newcastle an offer they can't refuse for JJ Keane and something like 7 Million, Newcastle are desperate for a striker so might budge and JJ is looking to get out. He could play the link from midfield to attack.
I'm glad Atouba has…
.....
Eric.... as message above
If Mido is fully fit now.... he wasn't all last season.. (great goal the other day) and gets a good run, I think he's the man... great link up between routlegde and defoe... hhhmmm lips slobbering
Eric as above
Eric again (can't bloody sleep)
Are they any good, only trials anyway, see how they do...
Yes Eric again...
The Premiership outfit are casting their net far and wide in a bid to add new faces to the squad after already securing the signings of Tom Huddlestone, Aaron Lennon, Wayne Routledge, Paul Stalteri and Teemu Tainio.
The Iranian pair have made waves in their domestic league and continued to impress whilst representing their country.
24-year-old Nekounam (pictured) currently plies his trade for Tehran outfit Pas, although Spurs could face competition for his signature in the form of United Arab Emirates side Al Ahli.
Kaebi is one of the rising stars of Iranian football and has burst onto the international scene under coach Branko Ivankovic.
The 19-year-old is also being followed by Aston Villa after playing a central role in Al Sadd's Emir Cup victory and has a growing reputation outside of his native Iran.
It is expected that the pair will travel to England in August in a bid to impress S…
I haven't been told who, but he will be revealed either in the Peace Cup or by the end of the tournament.
I had a chat with my source and we both think that it will be Westley Sneijder of Ajax.
Jol spoke about the club being in negotiations with a club.
If I hear anything else, I'll let you know.

I'd like to see Malbranque and Sneider. Have got a feeling that Mido might well have a good season. He'd been on the bench an awful lot before he joined us and never got a good run in our team. If he sorts out his attitude and fitness he has all the characteristics we're after. Tall, good in the air and v.skilful.
Crouch had one good season. Remember James Beattie anyone??
He's a left back with Champions league experience.
...I believe that he is a good striker, but at £5 million, he's not worth it.
Crouch needs to build up muscle mass on his upper-body. If he had the ability to battle agressively with defenders, then he would be worth £5 million, maybe even £6 million.
If he came in cheap at lets say £3 million, I would go in for him.
He does need to develop his shooting, heading and body stength.
The guy is still young and so has the chance to do that.
Would I play Crouch alongside Defoe ahead of Kanoute and Keane?
Definitely! But Mido? It waits to be seen.
I believe this season will make or break Mido's career. He listened to Jol and lost more than a stone in weight. That shows he is committed. Mido can be world class. I know many of you will disagree with me, but to that, all I can say is to wait and see what the new season brings.
I hoped this answered your question AussieYid.

By the way,how about giving up some of your money spend drinking at the PUB this saturday as you bitch about the chairman?
Grow up.
i reiterate MIDO IS A BIG TALL POWERFULL STRIKER!!!! Give him a run when he's fully fit and I think him and Defoe will rip defences apart, he wins headers and is skillfull. 35-40 goal partnership looms.
Eric again
I can't believe we made a profit on that joker.
Who was it that said that Atouba was a good player and that Hamburg would probably sell him onto a team in La Liga and make a killing??
You obviously only ever saw the highlight of the goal he scored up at St. James'.
It amazes me that players like that are professionals.
i'm egyptian and i know his abilities very well
bungy, jackson, they can join in with the other 2nd rater's zamora etherington
UNLIKE THOSE CUNTS AT HIGHBURY WHO COULD NOT EVEN SELL OUT MOST OF THERE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE GAME.
AND THOSE CUNTS AT SCUMFORD BRIDGE REMEMBER THE 70'S & 80'S CROWDS OF LESS THAN 10 THOUSAND WHERE WERE YOU THEN YOU BUNCH OF PART TIME CUNTS
ARE YOU ALL 13?
WHAT IS THE CLUELESS MONGS AND ARE YOU ALL 13 BIT ABOUT ?
WHAT IS THE CLUELESS MONGS AND ARE YOU ALL 13 BIT ABOUT ?
wright-phillips will never play for us. as much as we would love to see him on our wing, as much as he could do very well at WHL, as much as man city need the money, there are some huge blockers in this never-gunna-happen deal.
1. we have now routledge, lennon, stalteri along with others signed last season for the reserves who can cover the right wing nicely. the money taken to get SWP is more then any sane manager or chairman will pay in our position.
2. SWP loves it at man city, they raised him from a nobody and he knows he owes them and loves paying them back with his perfomances and loyalty.
3. possibly the biggest blocker of all, have you all really forgotten how we threw bottles at ian wright? the hate we had for him and the hate he had for us, the way we made his life a misery at every step of the way every chance we got?
after everything ia…
Now onto the point of sales and bringing players in, i can imagine as a manager it is very hard to bring players in due to the demand for players these days, so i belive we have to be patient, dont get me wrong i want to see new faces, but i dont want us to buy players for the sake of it, we all know what we need, and i dont know about you lot but im sick of checkin the newspapers and internet and seein us being linked with players we all know we cant get, it happens every season, like we have been linked with ronaldo etc, it jus aint gonna happen, and shoutin names such as aimar, rosicky, appiah etc they are…
I think we should do the following and purchase players in this order:
Bring in:
Steven Pienaar
Douala
Andy Johnson
Kieran Richardson
Figo
Saviola
Out:
Noureddine Naybet
Goran Bunjevcevic
Anthony Gardner
Fredi Kanoute
Michael Brown
Pedro Mendes
Hossam Ahmed Mido
Davenport
Robbie Keane
You listed some outs and some ins
I agree with all your outs aprt from Mido, my reasons are
1. He wasn't fully fit last year think he played most games including his stunning debut with an injury, with the rest he has had followed by a full preseason schedule I think we will see his full potential.
2. We need a big STRONG striker, Mido fits that bill, he is great in the air, has a great touch an eye for goal, great finish on Saturday.
3. He hasn't been given a chance yet, give him a run alongside Defoe and I believe he will be the perfect foil for JD and they will rip defences apart.
4. He is on loan so it's only costing us wages, he is playing for a contract either with us or somewhere else, we have nothing to loose.
Now to your ins
I don't agree with 3 of them
Richardson, We don't need him, one average performance against a reasonably weak USA side doesn't make him grea…
Andy Johnson - no thanks
Figo - would be no good in Prem league, when he can't take someone on, he falls over, when he falls over (Spanish league) he gets a free kick, (English league), he loses posession.
Saviola - Would be good, but we are only Spurs, we Should get Ronaldinho and Deco while we're at it.
Players out -
Goran, anthony and Kanoute can go, don't think it necessary to sell the others, unless you want to play Defoe up front on his own, getting rid of Kanoute, Keane and Mido, not too smart!
Anyway, only came in here to Say, Laters Atouba, good luck!
