Arnesen Still Works For Spurs

Tottenham released a statement today saying:
"Frank Arnesen will remain employed by Tottenham until 31 August 2005. Frank has been assisting the Club throughout his period of suspension, which is now ended, and will continue to do so untilhis employment terminates.
"The Club is confident that Frank will carry out his duties in a thoroughly professional manner."
Is our board really being that naive? So what they're saying is that he'll use the clubs money to travel abroad in search for new talent? But for who? If he finds anyone or is told anything by his many contacts, he'll keep tight-lipped until he moves over to Chelsea.
I just hope this is a false statement on behalf of the club. I cannot believe Levy would be that stupid.
How can they call Frank 'professional'? He was in an open conversation with Kenyon about a deal, then he was spotted on Abramovich's yacht although he told the club he had to go and visit his wife who was ill!
I am under the suspicion that he will not be allowed to do any work for Spurs until his contract ends on 31.08.2005, but the club release the statement anyway as a peace offering on behalf of Chelsea and there new scout.

Arneson can lick my balls for all i care, I think were getting 8 million for him, we should use that to buy a striker who'll score a hat-trick against them pricks.
That's a good move as far as I'm concerned, and whilst he's employed I'd have him making the tea, washing the windows . . . .
I believe there are still deals going on to bring players in & Arnesen has been a part of that. He hasn't suddenly hated Spurs, and I feel will want to try & aleviate even a smidgen of hate from the Spurs fans as he brings in a big new name or two.
I want to see major signings, we need an out and out goal machine(20 goals per season) and a midfielder who can cut defences apart and score. We've got the money, so come martin and daniel lets be avin ya!
I wouldnt loose any sleep if Kanoute, Mido and Keane are sold,
no more,no less. You can bet the keys to any files cabinets will be hidden away.
We will give him stick at The Lane.
I'm getting fed up with all the press about who we lost out on.
Saviola for Spurs please !
At no costs :-) And Kanoute is surely finished....
My deepest sympathy though for you London citizens. Arnesen is a nice bloke compared to the scum operating in the City of London !!!
Best rgds. from a Lifelong Spurs-supporter in Norway
We have all seen that Chelski have got no morales, ethics or professionalism, so of course Frank would start work for the mob today if he could. At least this way we can let Arnesen rot in the yisds kit room for a couple of months instead of him swanning around the med on a yacht, or poaching the next raw talent for that little club near fulham.
I feel quite comfortable that things regarding our beloved club will be dealt with in a best possible way by Levy / Jol . Best of luck to < us all > in the season in front of us ! Spurs till I die! - Rgds from Norway
Levy is the man, thoughout this and all other crises at spurs he has been the man in control who has guided us to better things.
On top of that he has got one over on Spartak Chelski where the likes of Ars*nal and Manure simply rolled over.
This man has balls and brains.
Nuff respect to the Levy!!!
But I dont think he's been a great chairman, soon as he took over we lost Campbell, then appointed HOd The God, who should have gone much earlier, then Santini , and he buggered off in afew months, so i dont thin k he's been that good and he still has a hell of a lot to prove as far as I'm concerned and I think this is the season he has to prove himself to us, the strategy of buying young british players is great, but now we have to buy world class and then we'll see where we go.
The guy is as Danish as they come!
