Spurs Won't Wait Until January For Jan

Tottenham Hotspur are lining up an official bid for PSV Eindhoven's large striker Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink.

The offer will be in the region of £3.5 million for the Dutch international. Spurs have extra transfer funds due to the Arnesen agreement reached late on Friday night. It has been reported that the fee of £6 million was paid to Spurs as part of the deal.

With an approach to Newcastle over their talented young midfield general, Jenas, and now this offer to PSV, it looks as though Levy and head coach Martin Jol will be in for a busy summer.
