Aaron Lennon has signed a five-year contract at Tottenham Hotspur I can reveal.

The gifted 18 year old, who can play on either flank, had been watched by the departed Sporting Director, Frank Arnesen, for the last four months.

Lennon is yet another young player that has signed for the London club. Last season, Spurs went on the rampage buying up Britain's best young talent. Along with Lennon, Spurs were busy buying Reid, Dawson, Huddlestone & Lennon's ex-team mate, Robinson.

The undisclosed fee agreed between the two clubs has angered the Leeds United faithful. Leeds manager, Kevin Blackwell feels for the fans and has commented by saying:

"We are disappointed to lose any player of quality, but such was the money offered and the contract he was on that a move became inevitable. He only had a year left on his current deal and I became resigned to Aaron leaving before the end of last season. Spurs first made their interest known quite a while ago and the player knew that. He wanted to play in the Premiership and this gives him the opportunity to do that."

Lennon will be a hit with the Tottenham fans as his pace and trickery will be on show next season. We will have to wait and see if Lennon makes the first team, or is loaned out, possibly back to Leeds.
