Simon Jordan reckons Spurs should tell Chelsea to stick their dosh down their throat.

The outspoken Crystal Palace chairman insists the Premiership champions should face a points deduction if they are guilty of tapping up Tottenham’s Sporting Director Frank Arnesen.

So far Chelsea have offered their London rivals £2million in compensation for Arnesen.

But Jordan blasted: “Chelsea’s conduct, if proven, is not the best. There are rules and they have to abide by them. They feel that they can do what they want. But it’s up to the authorities to bring them to book.

“You can’t hit them in the pocket, that’s not going to hurt them. You hit them somewhere else and it has to be points.

“If I was Spurs, I’d make a complaint. I wouldn’t take money or a player exchange, I’d stick it down their throats.

“They should be strong. But that is not how most clubs would operate, they would not stand up and be a champion for a cause as sometimes being an innovator is expensive.

“But I would stand up and say that’s not right. I’ve done it with agents and, to some extent, it may’ve cost me players.”

Earlier this week, ex-FA chief executive Graham Kelly accused Chelsea of being “like a juggernaut, crushing everything in its path.”

Kelly also said the only way to hurt football clubs who flout the rules was to deduct points.
Manchester United and Arsenal have already joined forces to declare war on Chelsea.

Gunners vice-chairman David Dein has held frequent talks with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy and United chief executive David Gill — with all three intent on stopping the Blues from flouting ‘tap-up’ laws.

Last week, Chelsea were hit with a suspended three-point deduction over their infamous meeting with Gunners’ full-back Ashley Cole, as well as a £300,000 fine.
