Having recently received my Spurs jersey way out here in little old Saskatoon (Western Canada) I have tremendously enjoyed this blog.

"I will Survive" though is genius. Pure genius.

the majority of you lot are clueless t#*ts. jol is our manager, simple as that. for all that guy has done for this club and yet everybodies jumping on the media bandwagon that seems intent on destroying it all. its all bollocks, talk of berbatov leaving, talk of 'jols tactical inability, juande ramos(or whatever his fucking name is), defoes want to move away, etc,etc. ALL of this came from the newspapers and has any of it actually happened? no, it has'nt! a couple of months ago, before all of this speculation, jol could do no wrong in the eyes of spurs fans. so what, now, after a couple of months of relentless media negativity, have you all really been swayed by it all. top four finish? that was always going to be a long shot, but realistic nonetheless. but instead you all seem intent on fucking it up like spurs always do.

Big news in the last two seasons spurs have won-NOTHING but they managed to finish 5th.Big deal after spending that sort of money i should flamning well hope so.Three seasons no cups terrible record against top 4 sorry jol out and JOSE in.He can make us winners something big martin will never do.Last season we finished 5th,last season unied won the league when was the last time spurs won the premier league-never and at jols rate they never will crap manager no better than any other manager who finished below us last season or the season before that.jol out before we all die waiting to spurs win something

Please give Mr. Jol until mid-October just in case we miss something important. Regardless of whatever happens, Mr. Jol have a huge weakness in beating top 4 'Category A' -- yet Aston Villa and other clubs have done that and showed far greater commitment than Spurs's 1st team have done. I feel that Mr. Jol is not loyal enough to Spurs' commitment to look forward to the future, definitely full of success opportunities with stylish football. I just do not want to see Tottenham Hotspur to be relegated, it would be making a huge fatal mess of North London football. I have my own pride having been a former resident of North London. In the end I believe that destiny might pull Mr. Mourinho towards White Hart Lane because of his children and new house being major significators. I'd like to see Spurs top 4 just like most Spurs fans around the world -- and progress beyond the quarter finals of major cup competitions. We must stop repeating all the time, and start making improvements upon our past 2 seasons. May you prospe to new heights, Spurs and show the world what you are capable of!

Lets get it straight jol has spent over 100 million in the three years in charge and still no silver so its not for lack of funding we have not won anything.Injuries, all clubs have injury problems and if we have more than others then there is something going wrong in training or on the treatment table.We have lost or drew to many games we should have won games the big 4 would not loose.If spurs supporters are happy being 5th then we stick with jol and let him get on with it if we want to break into the top four then we get a leader who knows how to win games.Take your pick jol has never won a major competion as a manager are we going to wait to see if he can maybe just maybe win one at spurs if so then no more moaning and be prepared for a long wait because like it or not the big four are getting stronger and stronger.

Thanks Big MJ for what you have done for us. You have certainly moved us on from where we were at before u arrived - but you are not capable of taking us to the next level (ie Champs League). The special one is capable of taking us to that next level and we'd be idiots to not sound him out for the job. I just hope that the Board go about the process with significantly more tact and diplomacy that they did with Ramos a few weeks ago, so that if Jose isn't up for the task, we're not left wiping egg from our faces once more.

Come to Spurs Jose, we'll make you welcome & Thanks Martin - We appreciate what you've done for us.

Looking forward to an exciting new (trophy filled) era at the Lane.

Like most Spurs fans I like Jol a lot - he has made, like most managers, some good and bad signings but tacticlly he lacks a lot and he and his coaching staff seem unable to get the team to defend as a unit.
Here are 10 reasons why Jol should go:
1) Team unable to keep a clean sheet
2) We look as if we are going to concede at every set piece but rarely look like scoring from them.
3) He stands by Robinson despite an alarming drop of form over the last 18 months and an inability to make deal with crosses
4) He always picks Jenas - a decent enough player but who doesn't fit in a team playing 4-4-2 with two attacking wide men.
5) He lets Jenas take set pieces despite his terrible delivery
6) The team appear to lack stamina and always fade as the game goes on and concede late goals
7) The lack of a quality central midfielder despite the money spent
8) Left back / left midfield - although Bale will become a great player for Spurs he can only fill one position and is only just 18.
Lee is a decent defender but lacks physical prescence and his end ball near the opposition box is appalling. Spurs have not had a class back since Hughton - remember Edinburgh, Thomas etc
9) Inability to beat the 'top four' - one win in about 24 games - none away - a shocking record - I don't think the players think they can win these games
10) he has lost the faith of the board

If we want to be a top 4 side I feel Jose could do it without spending a fortune - two or three signings and some decent coaching , plus the return of an in form King could turn us into a top four side.
As I said before Jol is a good manager but we need Jose to take us to the next level

I go to Tottenham to see stylish swashbuckling football, and even though results haven't gone our way, we have been playing some good stuff. I would hate for us to go back to the days of George Graham styled football (I went to 2 games in that era and refused to go anymore...Even with a Mickey Mouse Cup win, it was dreadful...)

Does anyone really want Arsenal to have the monopoly on a stylish brand of football, whilst we are stuck grinding out a dull 1-0 at home to the likes of Wigan?

Jol's supporters seem to have forgotten that the spurs board spoke to Ramos because they found out Jol had approached other clubs wanting more money. He approached newcastle last Xmas and offered his services if they doubled his salary. Which is rich as he went to the board after defeating Chelsea and asked (and got) a wage increase.
The board have spoken about being ambitious, well now is the time to prove it by getting Mourinho and letting the two faced fat man leave.

I would be very surprised if Mr Levy hasnt already contacted Jose this morning.
I suspect that Jose will take a while to consider his position and weigh up his options. He can afford to take his time and money wont be the deciding issue for him. He is settled in London, enjoying his new Belgravia home, his children enjoying the start of a new academic year. These things are very important to him.
For these reasons I think that Spurs have as good a chance as anyone to entice Jose. One thing for sure though. Comoli would have to go. That would be part of the package. Jose has already been a victim of 'upstairs' shennanigans, he wouldnt countainance a move to the present set up. I am a season ticket holder at Spurs - I'll be there cheering tonight. I love Jol. But he has been seriously and fatally undermined. I fear that he wont get the best out of the players now. Particularily a player like Berbatov that appears to need a magic switch.(or a kick up the backside). No doubt, Jose is the man to do this. And no doubt Levy knows this.
