Tottenham Hotspur and Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahçe continue to negotiate over a loan deal for striker Vincent Janssen.

The 23-year-old (24 in June) is said, by the Turkish press, to have had a £25 million (€28.28m) asking price placed upon him so the Turks once again favour a loan deal, for which we are asking £3.54 million (€4m) - €4m X 5 years = €20m.

Tottenham received £1.79 million (€2.25m) loan fee for the Dutchman last season and Janssen himself received the same figure.

Having recently produced an article on transfer fees, which I note I haven't published yet, it would seem to me we are trying to recoup his annual cost to us, which is how clubs evaluate.

Former Spurs Director of football Damien Comolli is now Fenerbahçe director. He is back in London discussing potential season-long loan moves for Moussa Sissoko and Georges-Kevin N'koudou in addition to Vincent Janssen. He met the players previously at the Dorchester Hotel to sell the Fenerbahçe project to them.

While we wouldn't be getting transfer fees, we would at least be covering their annual coat t us, hopefully.

If deals can be arranged for all three that will free up some non-homegrown places in the Premier League squad. When you add to that Mousa Dembélé and probably Toby Alderweireld, we can them firm up players coming in.
