Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport have obviously spoken to the two Italian clubs trying to get 30-year-old (31 in July) Mousa Dembélé on the cheap and report that Tottenham are refusing to budge from the £26 million (€29.74m) asking price set for the Belgian midfielder.

ttalkSPORT are falsely reporting £30 million because they couldn't be bothered to convert euros to pounds one assumes. Typical of the lazy modern journalism in mainstream media these days.

Will we be seeing Leeds United back in the Premier League in the next two seasons with the news that Pochettino mentor Marcelo Bielsa is to manage the Yorkshire club and is just waiting for a work visa to take charge. The parties have a verbal agreement, mind you, he has turned his back on one of those before.

Jack Grealish

Let's be honest, Jack Grealish isn't worth anywhere near £40 million. He is a Championship player, not good enough to go to the World Cup. He isn't a top player at a top club and has had attitude problems in the past. In addition he only has a contract until 2020, which means his realistic price should be around £10-15m next summer.

That valuation is just silly. I appreciate it is there to stop people buying him, but his club also have a duty to a player and the 22-year-old (23 in September) wants to progress his career, that isn't going to happen playing Championship football.

I understand fans want loyalty, they want their best players to stay, but to achieve that you have to be playing at the highest level at the very least. Villa failed to achieve that and if they didn't achieve it next season either, as many clubs who reach the playoffs don't, then he will have simply wasted a year of a short career.

That's not a fact Villa fans will want to hear. but it's a fact. There is said to be interest and I haven't seen enough of the 'new' Grelish against top quality opposition or Championship opposition to form an opinion.
