At least 4 sides want Llorente

Spurs Striker Llorente In Demand

Spanish Interest

Spanish newspaper Sport are reporting that Alavés and Athletic Bilbao are attempting to sign 33-year-old (34 next February) Spurs backup striker Fernando Llorente.

You would think Llorente would be happy to return home to Spain and toa league he knows well to finish his career. He is certainly open to a move away from Tottenham and Mauricio Pochettini is happy to let him leave.

The Daily Mirror, therefore, reports that he is keen to join Athletic Bilbao, which sounds like an educated guess to me given they are the bigger of the two clubs.

Other Interest

The same newspaper also reports that AC Milan are prepared to pay £11.25 million (€12.87m) for his services.

Other reports suggest a Mexican side are also interested in providing the former Spanish international with a new challenge.

The World Cup winner who scored 7 goals in 24 internationals for his country is under contract until 2019 and valued at £6.3 million (€7.21m) by Transfermarkt. Llorente joined us from Swansea City for £13.59 million (€15.54m) and there will have been performance bonuses included in that fee.

I suspect the £11.25 million figure is close to a breakeven amount so we'll try and sell him for more, perhaps £15 million (€17.16m) and agree on a compromise fee later in the window, that would be my guess. Proven go.alscorers are gold dust
