Spurs officially ask about Werder Bremen midfielder Delaney

SCOUTING TALK

German daily newspaper SportBild are reporting that Thomas Delaney will probably be leaving Werder Bremen nxt summer for the Premier League and that Tottenham Hotspur are watching him.

The 26-year-old (27 next September) Danish international (he has 19 full international caps, scoring 4 goals for his country) central midfielder is said to be returning to top form and they say it is no secret he wants to move to England. He has already turned down Burnley and Everton have shown an interest.

Although he is under contract until 2021 he has indicated to the club that he would like to talk to clubs from the Premier League and we are in a position better than most to know all about him with his international teammate Christian Eriksen in our ranks.

Werder Bremen have reported that Spurs have officially registered an interest and been asked to be kept up to date with any developments or availability. SportBild suggest he could leave for a figure around £13.21 million (€15m - AUS$22.39m - US$17.95m).
