King and Martial

TRANSFER TALK

Bournemouth want £40 million for Joshua King and he isn't worth that so we have dropped our interest which means Vincent Janssen won't be going anywhere, despite Borussia Munchengladback interest and indeed interest from Spain, Italy, Holland, France and Turkey.

We anted Anthony Martial before Manchester United bought him in a deal with a vast amount of add-ons, that took the total if they were all payable to £58 million. They are not all payable so his fee would be lower than that. It is no secret that he is another player who does not get along with the abrasive Jose Mourinho and in World Cup year he wants to be playing regular football, understandably.

We are trying for him and have reportedly had a concrete offer rejected. It won't be an easy one to get over the line and I believe we will be making a fresh offer.

Mourinho is happy to see him lave despite all his PR in the press, that is all it is. It is the usual tactic to try and push a players price up, claim he is valuable, we don't want to lose him while all the time behind the scenes you are happy to negotiate a sale. Standard negotiating tactics. If we can agree a decent price this one could happen.
