Transfer Talk: Mateo Kovačić

TRANSFER TALK

Mateo Kovačić in LaLiga: 80 take-ons 60 take-ons completed 75% take-on completion rate 1,014 passes 924 passes completed 91% pass accuracy

Of the 90 players to attempt 50+ dribbles in LaLiga last season, the 23-year-old (24 next May) had the best success rate (81.2%)

Spanish daily sports newspaper AS, which is the second largest specialist newspaper and is based in Madrid, report that Tottenham Hotspur have made a bid of £21.91 million (€25m - AUS$36.65m - US$28.63m) for Croatian international midfielder Mateo Kovačić, which has been rejected by Real Madrid.

Strangely AS also report that Zinidine Zidane also relies on the Croatian and that Real Madrid don't want to sell him, they ought to make up their minds.

We have seen various stories over the last couple of weeks from Kovačić being offered to Spurs, in which case Real Madrid would have given us a guide price, to Real Madrid willing to listen to offers, to our apparent offer being rejected.

We may well see a few of these stories now we have sold Walker and the three players who weren't playing for us anyway (Bentaleb, Fazio and N'Lie).

Much has been made of Real Madrid looking to raise funds and there has even been speculation that they would be willing to offload former Tottenham man Gareth Bale. That isn't true however. Real Madrid want to keep him and he wants to stay, he will not be leaving.

  1. i think we should go for

Isco and Mateo Kovacic for 70m. We no Real Madrid really want Eden Hazard and Kylian Mbappé

van Dijk for 40m + Wimmer. We no that Southampton what Wimmer so i think this would work

these are the type of signing we should go. We all ready made 85m from selling players and sell Sissoko or give hem away free lol

  2. No chance Kovacic will arrive while Sissoko is still on the books.
