Toljan and Sissoko

TRANSFER TALK

Spurs are ‘very close to signing’ 22-year-old (23 in August) Hoffenheim right-back Jeremy Toljan as Benfica drop out of the race according to Portuguese newspaper Record.

Roma are said to be considering a bid too, Chelsea are listed as interested, as are Napoli. With his contract ending in 2018, the versatile defender should be available at a sensible price and Record believe Benfica have pulled out of the race for him because of us. We'll see what develops.

The Sun are linking Moussa Sissoko with a £20m permanent move to WBA this morning.

Mauricio Pochettinio has commented to the press in the US that Moussa Sissoko still has a future at Spurs, which means nobody is close to signing him, presumably because he is reported to be refusing to drop his wages to move to interested parties, particularly French Ligue 1 sides Marseille and Lyon.

He has said he ants t stay in the Premier League, again that is no doubt because that is where the money is and gives him the chance to maximise  wages offers.
