Transfer Talk: Zeki Fryers, Ivan Perišić and James Rodríguez

TRANSFER TALK

Former Tottenham full-back Zeki Fryers has been released by Crystal Palace. The 24-year-old (25 in September) is a prime example of a young player with ability who doesn't push on, for whatever reason. Players can always improve if they have the mental desire to train everyday to improve themselves. Going through the motions and simply maintaining a level isn't good enough. Is it a case of too much money too soon and so he has no need to develop?

Sky Sports are reporting that last night Manchester United have made an improved offer of £35 million (€39.86m - AUS$59.26m - US$44.63m) for 28-year-old (29 next February) Inter Milan midfielder Ivan Perišić. The Italians do not want to sell the versatile midfielder and are resisting all offers for the Croatian international (he has 56 full international caps scoring 16 goals).

France Football claim PSG are confident of landing the signature of 25-year-old (26 in July) Colombian captain James Rodríguez from Spanish champions Real Madrid. He has 54 full international caps scoring 19 goals but is a bit part figure at the UEFA Champions League winners. He started just 4 of the 11 European fixtures in the competition and just 13 in LaLiga.
