Thomas Lemar Transfer News - Spurs and Arsenal

Thomas Lemar transfer news.

Sport Witness are often far more reliable than the British national press when it comes to getting the facts of a story from the foreign press. Their piece on Monaco winger Thomas Lemar makes interesting reading and show we haven't made an offer for the player, indeed the only club to have done so, according to L'Equipe is Arsenal and their offer isn't what is being reported in the national press.

The report from them suggests Arsenal have bid £35.21 million (€40m - AIS$59.53m - US$45.70m) plus bonuses, which has been rejected. Monaco would rather he stayed and sign a new contract so a transfer is far from certain.

It is one of those stories that our press have made a mountain out of a mole hill. Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United are interested. Clearly he is on the transfer list of several clubs, but not the main priority, simply an alternative should the main target not materialise, or even other targets. We, it seems, haven't even asked for permission to speak to him yet id L'Equipe are to be believed.
