Spurs targets news - Ginter, Walker, Berardi, Iheanacho

TRANSFER TALK

German newspaper SportBILD are claiming that Tottenham Hotspur have submitted an offer for 23-year-old (24 next January) Borussia Dortmund centre-back Matthias Ginter.

Having played at centre-back, right-back and right wing-back, Ginter has the versatility that boss Mauricio Pochettino looks for in potential signings.

The offer will no doubt be turned down and negotiations could then begin in earnest. Fellow Bundesliga side Hoffenheim have also made a bif.

Manchester City are reportedly getting frustrated at the valuation of £50 million on Kyle Walker, although why we should sell a home grown players (which commands a premium fee in itself) to a title rival for less, when they overpay for loads of other players, hasn't been made clear.

Spurs and Everton scouts have also been watching 22-year-old (23 in August) Sassuolo striker Domenico Berardi, but Italian newspaper Il Messaggero says his priority is ASRoma.

With two ex-Barcelona personnel in charge of recruitment, Director of Football Txiki Begiristain being one, it is no surprise that Manchester City have adopted the same tactics as the Spaniards and want to insert a buyback clause in any deal for 20-year-old (21 in October) Kelechi Iheanacho.

For Real Madrid and Barcelona this is standard practice, will it become so for Manchester City and indeed ourselves if we keep producing youth players?
