Transfer Talk - Sours linked winger Costa and striker Alario

TRANSFER TALK

Tottenham are interested in Bayern Munich winger Douglas Costa but as you can imagine so are a lot of other people.

Perennial Italian champions and chasing a treble this season having made the final of the UEFA Champions League once again Juventus, are taking a very keen interest. They have watched the 26-year-old (27 in September) Brazilian international (he has 18 full caps notching 3 goals) winger once again.

Lucas Alario has been tracked by Italian sides Fiorentina, Inter Milan and Lazio, French side PSG, Tottenham Hotspur, plus Spanish side Valencia. The 24-year-old (25 in August) Argentinian international forward (he has 2 full international caps), according to Sky Sports, has become a summer transfer target for West Bromwich Albion.

The Baggies management are planning a cash bid for the River Plate striker which is unlikely to hit his £15.48 million (18m - AUS$27.06m - US$20.17m) release clause. Ole are the South American newspaper reporting the story but the problem is they have a different season to ours and the Copa Libertadores doesn't finish until December. Naturally clubs want to keep their players so purchases are difficult, especially id third party ownership is involved.
