Transfer talk - Sissoko, Gnagnon (Spurs interest)

TRANSFER TALK

Before the transfer news a quick fact, Mauricio Pochettino will become the first Tottenham manager to start a 4th consecutive full season since Keith Burkinshaw (1976-84). It was clear he was here for the long run from the moment he was appointed and in today's football 4 years is an eternity for a manager at most clubs.

Le Journal understands that Ligue 1 club Marseille are willing to pay £21.61 million (€25m - AUS$37.57m - US$28.08m) for 27-year-old (28 in August) Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko. I'd snap it up. According to a source close to Sissoko, there has been no contact with Marseille.

French TV channel SFR Sport suggest Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Sevilla, Bayern Leverkusen, Inter Milan, Porto, Borussia Monchengladbach and Borussia Dortmund are all interested in signing 20-year-old (21 next January) Stade Rennais right-footed centre-back Joris Gnagnon.

Sevilla are reported to be willing to make an offer of £11.24 million (€13m - AUS$19.55 - US$14.61m) for the French Under-20 international who could yet still play for the Ivory Coast and is under contract until 2019. The latest reports are that he has agreed to play for the African nationality which could mean he misses a month of the season every two years.
