Money vs Nous - who will the winners be?

TRANSFER TALK

Arsenal have been shouting for years about qualification for the UEFA Champions League but it all seems to have gone quiet on that score with us having qualified for a second successive year.

We will have to wait and see what it does to their transfer business, only being able to offer UEFA Europa League. Will Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil go? Are they staring at a slippery slope?

We have our own challenges, we have to retain our star players while not lifting a trophy, we do however have UEFA Champions League football, but then so do our fellow major clubs.

We cemented our progress and showed further improvement last season, ending it as the most creative team in the league.

Most chances created in the Premier League this season
Spurs (505)
Liverpool (499)
Man City (486)
Chelsea (448)
Man Utd (447)

There are plenty of rumours, Walker to Manchester City and a lot is being read into the Danny Rose interview. Spurs have expressed an official interest in Ross Barkley while others have only had informal chats thus far. Then there is interest in Thomas Lemar and a bid apparently accepted for Turkish player Cengiz Ünder.

Manchester City are spending money as if it were water again, it didn't work last year and Manchester United are expected to do the same.

It is going to be a tougher league next year as both should improve with their respective managers at the helm for a second year, while Liverpool should improve too. We need to continue to make progress and pick up players that suit our system and are perhaps nearer being able to contribute to the first-team.

We have to still continue to develop and buy youth though as both strands of our project are intertwined.

How much of the transfer business is going to be delayed while Atletico Madrid wait for a Court of Arbitration in Sport into their transfer ban.Antoine  Griezeman , Sandro Ramirez, Kévin Gameiro and Alexandre Lacazette are all caught up in that, then there is the knock-on affect. That decision is due by the end of June, the summer transfer window opens 1 July.
