Twitter impressed, Spurs pressing game to hot to handle

SPURS 4 BOURNEMOUTH 0

The icing on the cake today as Vincent Janssen scores at the second attempt, with the first blocked as it was heading wide, to notch a Premier League goal, his other one being from the penalty spot.

Our pressing game was fantastic today. If you watch a replay of the game, forget the game itself for 5 minutes and just watch each player press. When the ball was passed to a Bournemouth player a Spurs man was immediately rushing to them. They had no time on the ball and no tile to make decisions. The Bournemouth players had to give the problem to someone else and with no time the mistakes occurred.

In the first-half we were passing the ball around and they were running and running. When they had the ball Pochettino was urging the players to press from the sidelines, you could hear him shouting now, now.

As Thierry Henry pointed out after the game, it is organised pressing, it is pressing at certain times with a distinct objective. Everyone has a role to play in cutting out passing angles and aggressively closing down opponents. When he had to do it at Barcelona he started to enjoy it, just as I'm sure the Tottenham players are enjoying it.

It takes tremendous fitness and a lot of training, it isn't something you can pick up in a couple of weeks after you have joined us and you have to totally 100% buy into it, Jamie Redknapp was right to point that out.

This is the team working like fury when we don't have the ball. People used to say you have to earn the right to play, which basically meant you had to control the middle of the park, now you control the whole pitch, not just the middle.

Look forward to seeing the disorganised XI we line up with which is out battled and easily dispossessed by Spurs pressing

Spurs pressing game is insane.

Spurs pressing Bournemouth off the park. I guess it helps when Kane is your striker and not a lazy fuck like Ibra
