Inter in pole position Schick, Spurs very keen

TRANSFER TALK

The British press have been all over the Patrik Schick to Tottenham story suggesting we are going to bid 321 million for him in the summer. They, of course, have no idea how much we are going to bid, Daniel Levy doesn't tell the media.

The article from Italy shows Inter Milan in pole position with Juventus also looking at him. If you have been living on another planet, the 21-year-old (22 next January) Czech Republic international is a striker at Italian side Sampdoria. he has now scored 10 Serie A goals in 1,167 minutes of playing time, a goal every 117 minutes. He also has 3 assists in the league so has been directly involved in 13 goals, an impact every 92 minutes.

Roberto is still following us I see, real shame it didn't work out for him at The Lane.

Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Watford, Borussia Dortmund, Everton, Bayern Munich, Sevilla, Roma and also-rans Arsenal are reported as being interested in the tall Czech, but I'd expect him to join Juventus or stay in Italy. While it was reported over here that we were holding talks with him, that was flatly denied by his agent. We await summer developments.

Juventus want to sign him and loan him out, Inter are very keen on him with Sporting Director Piero Ausilio having spoken to Sampdoria and Schick's agent Pavel Paska according to the Italians. They suggest Inter will be submitting a bid around £12.7 million (€15m - AUS$21.87m - US$16.36m).

sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero wants to extend his deal and insert a release clause somewhere between £21.17 million (€25m - AUS$36.44m - US$27.28m) and £33.88 million (€40m - AUS$58.32m - US$43.65m).

We are said to be stepping up our interest in him ahead of other British clubs it seems. That £21 million seems to be where the British media have got their figure from but again back in Italy they suggest Watford will offer £8.46 million (€10m - AUS$14.58m - US$10.91m). And you thopught it was only Daniel Levy who offered low, just shows your prejudice clouds your judgement and ignors the fact every club dos the same thing. We receive low offers for our player all the time.
