Spurs go marching on. A 4-0 win means we are unbeaten in the last 16 home games which includes 12 home Premier League wins in a row. We are now 17 points ahead of Arsenal. We can do no more than win to keep any sort of pressure on Chelsea.

  • White Hart Lane record W15 D2 GS 43 GA 8 PTS 47. The boys are really giving the old stadium a good send off.
Their game against a fired up Jose Mourinho's Manchester United is a big game for us, possibly the last chance to maintain any worthwhile pressure. We need a United victory to keep the gap to 4 points, then if Chelsea take a look over their shoulder there is a chance they may slip up.

There is a chance other teams will want us to win this year and put in a greater effort. Nobody gave Crystal Palace a chance so you never know what might happen.

  • Spurs have now scored 22 home league goals and counting in 2017. Everton have the most 26 (only Barca have more in Europe's top 5 leagues).
Kane missed 410 minutes with his injury. During that time the team scored 17 goals.We didn't lose a game and we didn't lose a game in the earlier spell he missed either. Son Heung-min kept up his scoring and Dele Alli chipped in with an assist.

Really happy Janssen scored from open play finally... from the short highlights clip, it seems he's finally coming to grips to the pace at which English football is played at... his reaction to the rebound was a goal poacher's instinct. I think if given more game time and more passes, he will start to score... there are less than 10 games left... all critical ones... hopefully we can be in good positions like today and have him on to put the icing on the cake and gain confidence and experience.
  2. For the second week running one can only but admire the way we went about shutting down the opposition…no wonder Poch is excited…total football!
    Mousa thoroughly deserved his MOTM award given his passing stats (98%) and work rate…worked his socks off to allow Eric to drop back into his ‘three at the back role’ and still managed to score & influence the transition and, if that wasn’t enough, Sneaky ‘popped’ yet another one in….
    Best news of the day (for me)…seeing VJ bury one…they all count and not winning the EPL on GD doesn’t bare thinking about.
    p.s. Dele, you’re too ‘square on’ when coming back to receive the ball.
  3. I struggled back from a late one last night and only arranged to get the recording going at 15-odd minutes in. However, it did catch the first goal <30" later so not all bad.

    What an accomplished performance. The end of last season seems like a distant memory now. Let's hope it stays that way even if we come across any difficult stages in the run ahead.
