Don't see Trippier leaving for Everton

TRANSFER TALK

The sun is out and it's off to the hospital yet again today. A quick look at the headlines sees the story that Everton are interested in 26-year-old (27 in September) right-back Kieran Trippier who has shown no indication that he wants to leave.

The press are trying to make a big thing about a lack of game time, but totally ignore the reasons behind it. He had a baby and couldn't sleep, thus making him tired and not 100%. That affects performance, your brain doesn't operate in the lightening quick fashion it needs to and you you are likely, not only to make a wrong decision but your concentration would waver.

If you want to achieve things then you need players operating at 100%. Kieran Trippier knew the reasons he was not being picked and clearly accepted them as he didn't once complain. In fact he did the opposite, he said he was happy at Spurs and was improving as a player under Pochettino.

Personally, I don't see him going anywhere, he played in three UEFA Champions League games and there look to be more next season. An injury to Kyle Walker and he would have an extended run, as it is he knows that next season he will rotate more with Walker and have increased game time.
