Colombian Spurs have scouted has £21.23m release clause

TRANSFER TALK

Inter Milan centre-back Jeison Murillo is expected to leave after two seasons at the club according to the Italian press. The 24-year-old (25 in May) Colombian international has a contract until June 2020. He is reportedly a target for Tottenham, Liverpool and Leicester City and has been tracked by Barcelona, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City. We sent scouts to watch him in April.

Inter Milan are interested in 25-year-old Roma defender Konstantinos Manolas and Jeison Murillo has been included in negotiations according to Gazzetta dello Sport. They are also interested in replacing him with Stefan de Vrij of Lazio. A further report, this time from Goal, suggests he already has an offer on the table from manchester City.

The new owners at Inter want to have the side competing for trophies again and are planning a clearout of the players they don't see can take them there or who can generate good income to finance purchases. Murillo is thought to be one of them along with 28-year-old (29 in June) Argentine midfielder Ever Banega and 24-year-old (25 in November) Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, another player we have been linked with.

Spanish newspaper AS reports that Murillo has a release clause of £21.23 million (€25m - AUS$35.38m - US$26.53m) which would be raised if he signed a new contract. Some reports say he is being slowly brought back from injury, others that he is no longer a first choice for the new coach in which case signing a new contract would be counterproductive for him.
