Watching internationals, 3 attackers, 2 midfielders, 1 inverted winger, 1 centre-back

International football allows us to scout players playing at the highest level with players better than the standard they may be playing with at their clubs. They play against sides full of ability and how they react can tell a scout a lot. So, who will we be watching?

This international break we will no doubt be keeping an eye on Antonio Rudiger if he plays for Germany against England today. The 24-year-old (25 next March) Roma centre-back has been linked with Spurs and is wanted by Chelsea and Manchester City reportedly.

Mateo Kovačić is a 22-year-old (23 in May) Croatian midfield player who, it is suggested, we are looking at trying to sign in the summer from Real Madrid thanks to a £21.8 million (€25.14m - AUS$35.14m - US$27.03m) release clause. As reported earlier though that sounds suspect.

The central midfielder signed for the Spanish giants from Italian side Inter Milan in August last summer for £28.35 million (€32.68m - AUS$45.70m - US$35.15m) and has a contract until 2021.

French publication Don Balon have suggested PSG manager Unai Emery has asked sporting director Patrick Kluivert to get Mateo Kovačić this summer and that they are willing to pay a fee of £39.03 million (€45m - AUS$62.92m - US$48.39m).

His reported release clause from the Daily Mirror just doesn't make any sense. We can watch him play against Ukraine and Estonia in the coming days.

Striker Andrea Belotti (Italy) is having a wonderful season and has attracted the attention of Europe, including Mauricio Pochettino. Despite speculation linking him to Spurs, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Everton and Arsenal (and that's just in this country) it is believed the 23-year-old (24 in September) is about to hold talks with Spanish giants Barcelona.

Lorenzi Insigne is a right-footed inverted left winger at Napoli who is stalling on a new contract, the club won't meet his wage demands, a familiar cry from Italy these days it seems. Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Arsenal have all been linked with the 25-year-old (26 in June). Like Belotti he could feature for Italy against Albania and Holland.

Youri Tielemans (Belgium) is just 19-years-old (20 in May) and is high on our list, but then he is on Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Roma, Monaco, Lyon, Atlético Madrid, Sevilla and many others. We will be watching him against Greece and Russia.

Kylian Mbappa is a hot prospect in France with Monaco and the 18-year-old (19 in December) has been called into the national squad for the first time. He could feature against Luxembourg and Spain, but is likely to go for a monster fee when he leaves Monaco. The Sun report PSG and preparing an £80 million offer, I suspect they meant £69.22 million (€80m - AUS$112.65m - US$86.30m). That would certainly take him out of our price range.

Kasper Dolberg has been named Denmark’s 2016 Talent of the Year. The 19-year-old (20 in October) Ajax striker is a future star, strong, fast, skillful, and an excellent finisher in the box. He has scored 18 goals in all competition with a further 7 assists. We will no doubt be watching him if he plays against Romania and will be getting reports on him from Christian Eriksen.

Not a complete list, that would take all day, but seven players but three attackers, two midfield players, an inverted winger and a centre-back, we are known to be following.
