The name of Wilfried Zaha will not go away with the papers suggesting Pochettino will happily go to £30 million to get him, a figure that sounds rather steep for what he has achieved, with in truth isn't a great deal. The 24-year-old plays internationally for the Ivory Coast as he wasn't good enough to get into the England set up for competitive fixtures.

He has scored 5 goals in 26 games this season and scored 5 in 43 last season, only 2 of those coming in the Premier League. End product is what matters. Eight assists this season sounds good but we don't play with a Christian Benteke type centre-forward, a player who relies on crosses. Last season he only had 5 assists in the Premier League. I would think there are better value players around who offer more end product.

Pochettino improves players so perhaps he could make him more consistent, five shots from outside the area suggets he isn't going to be the next Gareth bale shooting from distance, more like Andros Townsend who liked nothing more than to blaze a ball into the stands it seems.

He has lost more tackles than he has won, has an 80% successful pass rate and beats his man on 54% of occasions. Aerially he wins 27%. He has skill, Sir Alex Ferguson saw that but at a young age he couldn't hack it there, now older, would he at Tottenham?
