Spurs retain the award

PLAYER OF THE MONTH

John Terry has played against the best strikers in the world for club and country so when he remarks that Harry Kane is "one of the very best" you have to take note, especially given there is no love lost between Spurs, who have built themselves and Chelsea who were built as a millionaires play thing.

Kane had just been awarded the Player of the Month for February to follow on from Dele Alli winning it in January when centre-back and former England captain Terry posted a message on Instagram. Kane's award means in 2017 only Spurs players have held the monthly trophy, will we have a third player do so again in march or will the rich vein of goalscoring form see Kane lift it once again.

Against Everton he notched another two with Dele Alli grabbing a late third to kick-off March. Next up Millwall, although whether they get the chance to impress again we will have to wait and see.
