Son all alone

As written before and during the international break, Tottenham have a problem up front in so much as we are having to levy on a tired Son Heung-min to lead our attack.

The South Koream usually arrives back to training a day after most of the squad due to the distance he has to travel and that means he has less preparation time for each game after the break. We will not be able to start him on the substitutes bench because Vincent Janssen pulled out of the Holland squad with an illness.

That naturally affects his preparation and he is highly unlikely to be ready or trusted to lead the attack at Burnley.

With Harry Kane still out we have had 721 injury  days, most of which have involved injuries to significant players, Kane twice, Alderweireld, Lloris, Vertonghen, Rose, not forgetting Lamela and Davies.

While other sides have had injuries, few could have had the significant injuries we have had and had to deal with. Credit must go to Pochettino and the boys for sitting in second place with those problems.

Turf Moor is a tough place to visit, as I pointed out in a recent article their home record matches Arsenal and they are the sixth best side in the country on their own patch, however, on a positive note Burnley haven't scored a Premier League goal in April at home since 17 April 2010.

Another stat: No side in Premier League history has won a higher proportion of their matches (83%) or total points (78%) at home than Burnley.
