Pochettino following a striker for the future

TRANSFER TALK

Moving onto strikers from our last look at Wilfried Zaha, we can see from the small list below definite interest in strikers, to perhaps replace the disappointing Vincent Janssen. One player we are showing keen interest in is 17-year-old (18 in May) Andrea Pinamonti.

The youngster is highly thought of at Inter Milan and they are keen for him to sign a new contract, however, he is aware of our interest and is waiting for the summer it seems to see what other offers may come his way. The Italian Under-19 international (5 caps, no goals) made that clear to TMW when asked about his future.

"I do not know. I'm working hard every day to improve and learn from my teammates. At the end of the season we will decide what to do with my family, club and my agent."

Both Liverpool and Chelsea from the Premier League have expressed an interest, again something his agent will be aware of. It is a common situation in football although the media love to dramatise everything and claim showdown talks are about to take place.

That isn't the case, an agent is merely doing what is best for his client and will continue to talk with Inter Milan over a potential new contract and how the club see the players future developing. for now he looks like a third choice striker to develop, being as young as he is.
