A report from Italy suggests Tottenham are considering Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri as head coach next season should Mauricio Pochettino leave for Barcelona.

Calciomercato reporter Nicola Balice has exclusively learned that both Tottenham and North London rivals Arsenal are considering the Italian tactician. Allegri’s contract runs until 2018 but there is plenty of talk he will leave in the summer amid discontent over the style of play he employs.

It should be said that the likelihood of Pochettino going to Barcelona is very small, he has already distanced himself from the role suggesting he couldn't manage them after managing Espanyol, a club from the same city.

Just like you keep up to date with players and their circumstances, so you must be aware of the managerial situation should a manager ever leave. It seems mothing more than sounding a guy out just in case.
