Inter Milan coach Stefano Pioli had an interview with Il Corriere dello Sport who asked him about promising Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Juventus, Bayer Leverkusen, Arsenal and Chelsea target Andrea Pinamonti.
The 17-year-old (18 in May) has been called a wonderkid, a sensation and every other superlative, as everyone seems to be these days with our pathetic sensationalist press. While we are in for all the best youngsters, it is very hard to secure their signature with perhaps more opportunities to play at a younger age abroad, although we are trying to change that impression under Pochettino.
“He can’t have too much pressure on his shoulder because he’s really young and has only one appearance in Europa League.
“Said that, he’s a very promising footballer, a great pro and a humble person. I think he can be a very important footballer for the future of Inter and Italian football.”
