Aribo and Lookman

TRANSFER TALK

It seems any player from the lower leagues is now being hailed as the next Dele Alli, a move designed by their managers to talk up players and increase their transfer fees. The latest is  20-year-old (21 in July) Charlton midfielder Joe Aribo.

Lower league clubs ned to develop players and sell them to survive. It is in their interests to promote their young talent and get it in the public eye. The more interest they can develop around a player and the more scouts they can attract the better for them. These comments by the new Charlton boss about his young players are designed to do just that.

Meanwhile, Tottenham linked striker Ademola Lookman looks as if he is on his way to Everton for £10 million having been left out of the last two games by Charlton boss Karl Robinson who spoke to BBC Radio about the rumours.

“A deal has not been done, but there is so much talk surrounding the young man I can't see it being too long. There is no smoke without fire.”
