Final Table Prediction

The CIES Football Observatory have analysed and predicted how many points each club will receive by he end of the season. They base this on the statistical analysis of performance from the 2011/12 season onwards.

First they look at defensive performance until 31 December of each season.

Next was the number of shots conceded from inside the box.

The next part of the equation is about possession and uses passing statistics.

This is then taken further to look at successful passes in the opposition half.

They then move to look at offensive performance and the average number of goals scored per match.

Next is the number of shots taken in the opposition penalty area.

This brings them to their conclusion and the final Premier League table.

We have started 2017 in style winning all our games and another victory at the weekend will certainly put this prediction in serious jeopardy thankfully.

  1. Not a surprise if they include the stats from before Poch even started. If they were to look at the last two seasons only then I suspect we'd be in quite a different place. As we are in real life as it happens.
