The papers can't decide which Club Atlético River Plate forward we are interested in, we have been watching both Lucas Alario and Sebastian Driussi.
Tottenham were heavily linked with a move for and were reported as having bid for 24-year-old (25in October) forward Lucas Alario back in the summer. Another window has arrived and we are being linked again as we continue to monitor his progress and evaluate him as a player. He has 6 goals and 1 assist in 13 games this season and is in Argentinian squads, he has 1 cap.
The 20-year-old (21 in February) Drussi has scored 10 goals in 14 appearances so far this season so has youth on his side and there are reports that we don't believe Alaruo will be sold to an English club. The excuse is third party ownership, which Drussi has also. These players usually go to leagues in Europe that accept these deals, Portugal, Italy and Spain, France do as well.
It is a situation a Spurs fan watches without ever expecting anything to happen.
