An opportunity to go 3rd

SPURS vs CHELSEA

Well if it were possible this game has taken on even greater significance. Liverpool have dropped points but more importantly right now, Arsenal have dropped points, meaning a win against Chelsea would take us into 3rd place and push Arsenal into 5th.

Jan Vertonghen believes Mauricio Pochettino has a plan to stop Chelsea, harry Kane has been talking about how up for this the players are and we are in confident goalscoring mode at the moment, a far cry from earlier in the season.

At Stamford Bridge we had a makeshift back four with Kevin Wimmer playing left-back, none too successfully. Now we have Jan Vertonghen and Kyle Walker back from suspension and Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose fit. That gives us greater confidence going into the game.

We changed formation for Watford, as we did for Arsenal earlier in the season, how will we operate against Chelsea? We'll have to wait and see, thankfully we won't have to wait too much longer. Instead of having the pressure to keep up, we now have an opportunity, which is what you want playing top level sport. It is all about opportunities and taking them. We need to take this one, too many time we stumble at this hurdle.

A win and we go third so the other clubs have to worry about us and try to overtake us instead of the other way around. They are different pressures. We handled being in the top four quite well last season and we now need to start replicating that in the second half of this season.
