Wimmer and Bentaleb

TRANSFER TALK

Wimmer-and-Bentaleb

The Germans are still maintaining that Kevin Wimmer is returning to the Bundesliga (FC Koln) on loan despite his agent saying different. It doesn't help us in any way loaning him out, there are negatives and few, if any, positives, given he is likely to leave in the summer. Mauricio Pochettino has also said Spurs aren't talking about selling him internally. None of it stops a good media story though does it.

"We are not talking about that internally. I'm happy with him – he's still very young. We brought him not only for the present but for the future. There's nothing to discuss about him."

Another German side, Schalke 04, originally offered £10m for Nabil Bentaleb before agreeing a loan fee plus a £17m deal, proof it isn't a Daniel Levy thing offering a low price, every club does it. he has done enought to impress the Germans and it is looking certain that he will join them on a permanent basis in the summer.

He started off poorly and was slagged off by the German media, then he was hailed as the saviour, scoring goals and putting in impressive midfield displays and now his form has dipped again because he is wearing a mask according to his coach, Markus Weinzierl.

The club have seen his potential though and are keen to develop his talent. Come the summer the expectation is that both will be plying their trade in Germany next season.
