SPURS vs SWANSEA CITY
Former England, Real Madrid and Liverpool striker Michael Owen writing for Bet Victor tips a Tottenham victory on Saturday at White Hart Lane. He highlights Swansea's defensive weakness which has been their Achilles heel all season.
“The Swans might have picked up a valuable three points against Palace last weekend but some of their own defensive work was poor and I expect Spurs to bounce back after losing their unbeaten PL record at Stamford Bridge last weekend.”
Former England and Arsenal striker Paul Merson has his say on the upcoming Spurs fixture this weekend and feels the Swansea defence is still all at sea just waiting for Spurs to capitalise on it.
“Every time there was a corner or free-kick the referee should have just given a goal. It was a shambles of a match. It was entertaining but to think that Swansea have turned a corner would be madness.
“I’ve got to go with Tottenham here. For 44 minutes against Chelsea they were phenomenal. However, they’ve only won one of their last 10 games – that’s a bit of a worry. That said, this looks a very winnable match.”
