Tottenham have an opportunity now, not just to concentrate on the premier League, but to pick up some points. We have had the hardest start to the season of all the top clubs. As I revealed before yesterday's round of matches, once we had played Manchester United we will have played the whole Top 10.
Since then Watford have won to propel themselves into 7th pushing Bournemouth into 11th.
Our next fixture, which takes us to 01 January,s are:
Manchester United (a) 6th
Hull City (h) 19th
Burnley (h) 13th
Southampton (a) 12th
Watford (a) 7th
They are a very winnable set of fixtures and a winning run over those games before we play Chelsea and Manchester City in quick succession will see us heavily involved in the race for the Top 4. It is an opportunity we need to take so our attempts to continue to score goals from winning positions in the last two games have been a welcome sight.
