Best win since 2012

SPURS 5 SWANSEA 0

It still tickles me that some clown reckoned Spurs defence was getting progressively worse, yet when you look at the statistical facts we are one of the best in Europe.

Despite continual changes and injuries to Alderweireld, Lloris and Rose only Bayern Munich have conceded less goals than us in the 5 Top Tier European leagues (England, Spain, Germany, Italy and France) so far this season. In fairness our clean sheet was their first in seven games in all competitions.

Bayern Munich (9)
Nice (10)
Tottenham (10)
Villarreal (10)

We have conceded an average of just 0.71 goals per game, which is the fourth best defensive record in Europe and on Saturday Swansea managed only 1 shot.

Tottenham had 15 shots on target 27 or 28 in all depending upon what statistics you look at. We had 15 shots on target against them last season as well.

It was our biggest Premier League win since February 2012. Now we need to follow it up. Football is all about handling expectation and pressure.
